AZEEM AUSTIN & RANDALL FRASER

WIN $2,000 DOUBLES TITLE!

 

A dominant performance on Sunday by Randall Fraser allowed him to cash in the top 3 spots with 3 different partners. Randall won the doubles title with partner Azeem Austin shooting a 2,153 to earn the $2,000 top prize. Randall also finished in 2nd place with CJ Jones with a 2,074 series worth $1,200. Randall’s third top 3 cash was with Cory Lam shooting a 2,049 worth $900. Alex Padmore and Jalessa Taylor won $800 with their 4th place finish shooting a 2,036.

 

In the optional singles event Chris Kubelka took home the $300 top prize with an 1,113 series. There was a tie for 2nd place with 2,074 shot by Greg Dessi and Randall Fraser each earning $150. A total of 54 bowlers entered the $20 singles event which paid 13 spots totaling $1,065.

 

The AMF E. Meadow doubles event drew an amazing 134 teams, cashed the top 23 spots, and paid out a main event prize fund of $11,400. When you include the singles event and side action the day’s total payout was $16,855. John Boble shot the only 300 game of the day. The Brunswick and Turbo raffle winners were John Gifford and Janet Gochman.

 

The LIGBT would like to welcome the 30 new bowlers that joined at AMF E. Meadow. Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that participate at Sunday’s doubles tournament. The LIGBT returns to AMF E. Meadow this coming Sunday, March 23rd for a 3-squad (noon-2pm-4pm) sport shot event featuring a $1,500 top prize and $80 entry fee.
