TEAM UP TO WIN $2,000!

 

Congratulations to Azeem Austin & Alex To for winning the $2,000 top prize at LIGBT's Handicap Doubles tournament hosted by AMF Wantagh. Azeem and Alex shot a 2,069 eight-game total to win by 3 pins over 2nd place finishers Stanley Waite and Dawn Vening who shot 2,066 and earned $1,000. Rounding out the top 3, and earning $800, was the team of Romie Caiaccio and Carmelo Randazzo with a 2,020 total.

 

The optional singles event was won by Stanley Waite with a 1080 total worth $250. Finishing in 2nd place, with a 1030 series, was Peter Kovac earning $150. Rounding out the top 3 was Hannah Manetta with a 1028 total worth $100. It took a 974 series to cash in the singles side event.

 

The Saturday doubles event attracted 98 teams generated a $8,410 prize fund. The top 16 teams cashed with 1,942 the cut score. The tournament was competed on the modified house shot pattern "Stone Street." There was one 300 game and it was shot by Jonathan Saloman in Game #3. Romie Caiaccio shot a 276 which was the high female game.

 

It was a busy day at AMF Wantagh. The total payout with side action was $13,260. A total of 43 bowlers cashed. There were 14 new bowlers competing in their first LIGBT event. Raffle winners were Tom Mullahey (Brunswick ball) and Mitch Benov (Turbo Triple tote.) 

 

Thanks to everyone that competed in our Saturday Doubles tournament and congratulations to all of the cashers. The LIGBT returns this coming Memorial Day Weekend for a 2-day Major House Shot Major (Friday, May 22 & Sunday, May 24) at AMF E. Meadow.
