ANDREW BEATS THE CHEETAH!

Season 17 kicked off on Sunday at AMF E. Meadow with Sport Shot Series #1. Andrew Mienkiewicz fought off a poor first squad and took his re-entry all the way to the winner’s circle. Andrew won the $1,000 top prize by defeating 17-year old Jason Lam 258-231. While Jason earned a $500 SMART scholarship for 2nd place, finishing in third was Mack Oakman with a 196 earning $300. Rounding out the top 5 was 4th place finisher Devon Johnson with a 183 worth $250 and 5th went to Darcy Monroe with a 141 worth $200.

The Cheetah pattern proved very difficult as cut scores were just 617 in the first squad and 636 in the 2nd squad. There was only one 700 series and that was shot by Devon Johnson (702.) The wildcard winner was Alex Padmore with a 1,242 six-game series. A total of 59 entries competed generating a $3,145 prize fund that was paid out to 15 bowlers.

Congratulations to all of the finalists and thanks to everyone that participated at AMF E. Meadow. THIS Sunday, October 27th (noon start) is LIGBT’s first Handicap Doubles tournament of the year hosted by AMF E. Meadow. We hope you can join us.
