Herrill Top Finishers
Andrea Lawrence-Lenny Tortorici

Champion Lenny Tortorici

LENNY TORTORICI FINALLY GETS HIS FIRST LIGBT TITLE

It took Lenny Tortorici 38 LIGBT tournaments to grab his first club title. The 50-year old right-hander joined the LIGBT in 2010 but waited until Sunday at Herrill Lanes to win the $1,000 top prize. Lenny bowled great and shot a 1018 four game handicap series giving him a comfortable 39 pin victory. Finishing in second was Andrea Lawrence with a 979 series. Andrea, cashing for the first time, earned $550 for her runner-up position. Rounding out the top 5 was third place finisher Kyle Lathen with a 971 worth $300. Tied for fourth place were Hubert Stowe and Dave Soren, both shooting 964 and each earning $235.

The Herrill Lanes tournament was our first sport shot event in many months and drew a good summer one squad crowd of 64 entries. There were 16 cashers sharing in a $3,835 prize fund. The side action paid out an additional $3,780 bringing the day’s total payout to $7,615. It took a 900 four game handicap series to cash on the Autobahn pattern. Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that participated at Herrill Lanes.
