WARREN FLOYD JR. & PIERCE FIELD WIN TITLES

AT RECORD BREAKING HOUSE SHOT EVENT 

The LIGBT visited AMF E. Meadow for House Shot Series #4 and had record scores shot. Warren Floyd Jr. won the handicap title by defeating 15-year old Josh Agliam 279-247. This was Warren’s first LIGBT title which earned him $1,000. Josh earned a $500 SMART scholarship for 2nd place. The scratch event was won by Pierce Field who earned $500 with a 1028 series.

House Shot Series #4 drew a field of 87 entries and paid out a $5,200 prize fund to 23 bowlers. The side action added another $2,530 bringing the day’s total payout to $7,730. The pins were flying on Sunday as Brian Becktold and Darius Fuller both shot 300 games. There were also two 299’s shot by Dexter Wharton and Stephen Jones. It took a 991 to cash in the 49 & under division, 968 in the senior division, and 928 in the scratch division. Stephen Jones shot the high scratch and handicap series with 1045 and 1145 respectively.

Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that competed at AMF E. Meadow. A special welcome to 7 new members who bowled their first event on Sunday. The LIGBT returns with its 3-squad House Shot Spectacular, featuring a $1,500 top prize and $80 entry fee, on Sunday, February 16th at Strike 10 Deer Park. Enjoy the Super Bowl and we look forward to seeing you at a future LIGBT tournament.
