TIM LAU ESCAPES

FROM ALCATRAZ!

Congratulations to Tim Lau for winning your first LIGBT tournament on Sunday at AMF Garden City. Tim conquered the tough Alcatraz pattern, and earned the $1,000 top prize, by defeating Jim Lenihan 218-215 in the final shootout. While Jim earned $600 for 2nd, finishing in 3^rd was Ian Galloway with a 201 worth $400. Rounding out the top 4 was Jason Nicholas with a 199 worth $300.

The Alcatraz pattern proved extremely challenging (as promised) with cashing scores of 618 at noon and 648 at 2pm. The wildcard winner was Tony Genova with a 1,303. The prize fund paid out $5,255 to 28 cashers. A total of 109 entries participated at AMF Garden City.

Congratulations to all of the cashers and thanks to everyone that was willing to "Escape to Alcatraz" for a day. LIGBT's next event is Saturday, May 16th; a Handicap Doubles tournament at AMF Wantagh. Have a great week and we hope to see you soon at an LIGBT competition.
