EDDIE LEGREE & SHARON HARPER DOUBLES CHAMPIONS AT AMF E. MEADOW

E. Meadow, NY:  The LIGBT visited AMF E. Meadow for a house shot Handicap Doubles tournament. The winning team of the 4-game event was Eddie Legree and Sharon Harper, both from Brooklyn, NY, shooting a 2,169 series. Their victory was worth $2,000. Finishing in 2nd place, just 9 pins behind was the team of Nick Falsetta, N. Babylon, NY and Joe LaBargo, Bayside, NY with a 2,160 series worth $1,000.     

In third place was the team of Isaiah Zamor, Hempstead, NY and Nick Falsetta with a 2,127 total worth $800. Rounding out the top 4 was the team of Katie Lamac-Lavoie, Seaford, NY and Joe LaBargo with a 2,108 worth $650.

A separate optional singles event was offered and won by David Ehrlich, Fresh Meadows, NY with a 1,094 series worth $250. Finishing in 2nd was Nick Falsetta with a 1,088 total earning $150. Rounding out the top 3 was Joe LaBargo with a 1,072 series worth $100. A total of 43 entries paid the $20 singles entry fee generating an 11-person $840 prize list.

The Garden City doubles event drew an incredible field of 137 teams, with 25 teams cashing in the $10,600 prize fund. The side action paid out an additional $9,905 bringing the day’s total payout to $20,505. The cut score to cash on the house shot was 1,980. The Brunswick ball and Turbo triple roller raffle winners were Zack Gifford and Jerome Brantley. The LIGBT welcomed 14 new members at AMF E. Meadow.

LIGBT’s next event is a Modified House Shot tournament at AMF Garden City on Sunday, August 3rd (noon start.) The LIGBT is sponsored by Brunswick, Randi B. Siegel Law Offices, Many Styles of Bowling, and Turbo Grips.
