The Long Island Generation Bowling Tour (LIGBT) has now completed its first ten events of its third season. With 15 more events scheduled through May many new champions will be crowned and thousands of dollars in prize money will be distributed. The LIGBT will be announcing shortly its summer plans plus several new special events.

There were 10 handicap events held and 10 different champions crowned. If there was mid-season MVP voting the bowler that would pick up the most votes would be Jim Walsh of Glencove, NY. Jim won the Bowl Long Island event in October and finished second at East Islip. He is leading in earnings with $1,750 and has the most cashes; 7 out of 10 events. Chris Jove, Port Jefferson, NY is also having a great season. Chris won the East Islip event and finished second at South Levittown. Chris is second in earnings with $1,425 and cashed in 6 out of 8 events.

The scratch division held 7 tournaments and crowned a female champion, senior champion, one two-time winner, and several bowlers that had 1st and 2nd place finishes. Brian Ziesig, the only multiple champion, won at AMF East Meadow and AMF Sayville. Brian is the current average leader with 238, second in earnings with $2,150, and has cashed in all 4 of the events he has bowled. Joe Novara, E. Patchogue, NY is also having a great season. Joe won the East Islip tournament and finished second at AMF Babylon. Joe is the currently leader in earnings with $2,250, tied for the lead for most cashes at 5 (Adam Chase also has 5) and is 11th in average with 219.

The LIGBT continues in 2011 with 3 events in January including a 2-day at AMF Babylon on January 29th and 30th.
