Garden City, NY:  The LIGBT visited AMF Garden City for a house shot Handicap Doubles tournament. The winning team of the 4-game event was Joe Scianna, Long Island, NY and Rob Miller, Manorville, NY shooting a 2,126 series. Their 5-pin victory was worth $2,000. Joe also took second place with a different partner, Nick Falsetta, N. Babylon, NY. Their team series was 2,131 worth $1,200.     

In third place was the team of Alex Rosen, Old Bethpage, NY and William Senetra, Melville, NY with a 2,124 worth $1,000. Rounding out the top 4 was the team of Nick Falsetta and Isaiah Zamor, Hempstead, NY with a 2,118 worth $900.

A separate optional singles event was offered and won by Rob Miller with a 1,077 series worth $300. Finishing in 2nd place was Nick Falsetta with a 1,072 total earning $150. Rounding out the top 3 was Joe Scianna with a 1,059 series worth $100. A total of 47 entries paid the $20 singles entry fee generating a 12-person $940 prize list.

The Garden City doubles event drew a record field of 145 teams, with 20 teams cashing in the $11,450 prize fund. The side action paid out an additional $6,155 bringing the day’s total payout to $17,605. The cut score to cash on the house shot was 2,032. Nick Falsetta shot the only 300-game of the tournament. The Brunswick ball and Turbo triple roller raffle winners were Aidan Taylor and Doug Roszkowski. The LIGBT welcomed 15 new members at AMF Garden City.

LIGBT’s next event is a 2-squad sport shot tournament at AMF Babylon on Sunday, June 29th (noon & 2pm.) The LIGBT is sponsored by Brunswick, Randi B. Siegel Law Offices, Many Styles of Bowling, and Turbo Grips.
