After a very successful inaugural season The LIGBT is planning a major expansion for 2009-2010. We are currently finalizing 18 events that will run from October through early June. No events are planned for late June, July or August at this time.
The schedule will contain several new editions including a couple of Saturday night events, three major events that will run several days and feature larger prize funds, running events in Queens, and promoting a charity event to raise money for scholarships. Our goal with the schedule is to work with all of the current local tournament clubs to avoid conflicting dates.
The LIGBT is looking to double its membership in year two. We will accomplish this goal by having an extremely aggressive recruiting program and contest. The LIGBT is also pleased to announce it has hired a marketing firm to secure sponsors for the Tour and is also looking at the possibility of televising a “Grand Championship.”
We are happy to announce Columbia 300 has already agreed to extend its partnership with The LIGBT. This will allow us to continue to offer special programs to our members. We will be upgrading our membership bonuses to be more attractive to a variety of bowlers and offer a higher-end line of LIGBT apparel.
