The Long Island Generations Bowling Tour (LIGBT), which is sponsored by Columbia 300, CLS Upholsterers, and Kegel, will be hosting a very special event on Sunday, December 19th at AMF Sayville. This tournament will feature one squad of four game qualifying. The four highest qualifying series that don’t make the finals will win a $150 entry into the prestigious Long Island Masters.
The LIGBT scratch event guarantees $1,000 & $500 for the top 2 places with only 35 entries. Qualifying is done by division, 49 & under/senior, with 1 in 5 advancing from each group. The top series of the tournament is guaranteed in the final shootout while the high series from the other division will earn 1 bye (minimum $300.)
The lane pattern for the AMF Sayville event will be Kegel’s “Beaten Path” which is 41 feet. New members and guests are welcomed and can sign up on-line at www.ligbtour.com or enter on-site at AMF Sayville. Starting time is 2pm with sign-ups beginning at 1pm. The AMF Sayville tournament will also feature a 3-game handicap event for bowlers 220 & under. This one squad qualifying tournament will have 1 in 4 bowlers advancing to the finals. Top prizes are guaranteed to pay $500 & $250 regardless of entries. Prepaid entry fee is only $60 with the walk-in entry fee at $65.
During the handicap event a free Mini-Eliminator Mini Marathon entry will be awarded to the eligible member with highest qualifying series including handicap (no bonus pins.) To be eligible for this bonus you must have bowled in at least 4 other LIGBT events in Season 3. Prepaid entries are now being accepted on-line at www.ligbtour.com. Walk-in entries are welcomed.
