Levittown, NY: The LIGBT, sponsored by Storm, ran a 4-game house shot tournament featuring 3 different prize funds. The winner of the higher average handicap event was Joanna Viscuso, Seaford, NY earning $700.  The winner of the lower average handicap tournament was Matthew Sindone, Copaigue, NY also earning $700. The scratch champion was pro shop owner Justin Kampf who earned $400.

Joanna’s road to her first LIGBT title was accomplished with a 1094 series. Finishing in second in the upper average handicap event was Tyger Folmar, Miramar, FL with a 1067 worth $350. There was a tie for 3rd with a 1053: Gerard “G MAN” Gagliano, Hicksville, NY and Jack Kampf, Levittown, NY both shot 1053 each earning $225. A total of 35 bowlers competed in this division which paid out $2,110 to 9 different cashers. It took a 1003 series to cash in the higher average handicap event.

Matt’s road to his first LIGBT title was accomplished with a fine 1121 series. Finishing in second in the lower average handicap event was Henry Phem, Brooklyn, NY with a 1095 worth $350. Ray Brooks, S. Ozone Park, NY took 3rd place, and earned $250, with a 1083. A total of 36 bowlers competed in this division which paid out $2,110 to 9 different cashers. It took a 1033 series to cash in the lower average handicap event.

Justin Kampf protected his home turf by averaging 243 (971 total) to earn the scratch title. Finishing in second place, with a 951 was Storm Rep Andrew Mienkiewicz, Dix Hills, NY earning $240. Third place in the scratch event was Thomas Nelson, Amityville, NY with a 925 worth $125.  The scratch event attracted 13 entries and paid out a $765 to 3 different cashers. It took a 925 series to cash in the scratch tournament.

The LIGBT house shot event at Levittown Lanes drew a field of 84 entries, paid out $4,985 in prize money, and had 21 bowlers go to the cashing window. The side action paid out an additional $3,890 bringing the total event payout to $8,875.
