PETER PARENTI WINS 2ND HANDICAP TITLE IN A ROW! ERIC TAYLOR JR. TAKES SCRATCH TITLE

Meadow, NY: The LIGBT, ran House Shot Series #3 at AMF E. Meadow. The handicap champion, for the 2nd house shot event in a row, was 73-year-old Pete Parenti, Bayville, NY earning his second $1,000 prize in a month. Pete won the December event by defeating Kymari Nelson, Huntington Station, NY 250-234 in the final shootout. While Kymari earned $600 for 2nd place, finishing in third and earning $400 was Jason Epps, Jamaica, NY with a 226. Rounding out the top 4 was senior bowler Darcy Monroe, E. Meadow, NY with a 219 worth $300.

The scratch event was won by Eric Taylor Jr., Brooklyn, NY with a 4-game total of 964 worth $500. Finishing in 2nd place, with a 944, was Jake Esposito, Centereach, NY earning $250. Third went to Weldon Drayton Jr., Brentwood, NY with a 938 earning $150. The final spot was taken by Darcy Monroe with a 925 worth $120. The scratch event attracted 18 entries and paid out $1,020.  

LIGBT’s House Shot Series Event #3 drew a wonderful field of 96 entries, paid out $5,620 in prize money, and had 23 bowlers go to the cashing window. The side action paid out an additional $3,340 bringing the total day’s payout to $8,960. Scores to cash were 944 in the 49 & under handicap division, 911 in the senior handicap division, and 925 in the scratch event.

The LIGBT ran a special holiday raffle and gave out over $1,000 in gifts. Winners of a Storm ball were Michael Dixon, Danny Todaro, Gary Paulsen, and Shawn Cummings. Winners of a Turbo Triple tote were Bob Miller, Michael Dixon, Tony Genova, and James Howard.      

LIGBT’s next tournament is a special New Year’s Day 4-game scratch and handicap house shot event at AMF E. Meadow. The NYD event features guaranteed scratch and handicap high game pots.
